Embellished Baby Shirt

So, I know that embellished shirts are really in right now. But who wants to pay the price to get them? I was shopping for clothes for Kylie the other day (she is growing out of all the clothes.) and I found some cute embellished tops for baby girls. The price on the tag shocked me. I was not going to pay $10 for a shirt. No way. So I came up with my own little trick.

I got this shirt at Walmart for $3. It was just a simple, plain shirt.

The pink ribbon I already had. But I probably cost me no more then 2 dollars.

So the grand total of...$5

I just simple made the row thingy out of the ribbon.

Then i just sewed it onto the shirt.

I am very pleased with my home made embellished shirt.

Picture Editing

I have found my new "thing". I own a photo design program called Story Book Creator Plus, Sold by Creative Memories. With this program, I am able to add digital overlays (the swirls that you see below) along with text. It allows me to customize my owe text (Quotes, names, what ever you want). It really transformes your pictures to something amazing.

Fun Fabric Balls

I found these really cute fabric balls online and i just had to share. They are jut too cute. I LOVE THEM. I found a tutorial online at http://knittygrittythoughts.typepad.com/knitty_gritty_thoughts/2009/11/my-entry.html. They are pretty easy to make. All you need is some fabric, styrofoam balls ( I used three different sizes of balls for mine) and some pins ( i used a glue gun instead).

Here is another Idea you could use.

I got this idea from my cousin Tiffany. She was making these fabric balls for her wedding. They were so adorable I had to make some for my self.

These are actually alot easier then the artichoke fabric balls (above) all you have to do for these is...

1. Cut long fabric stripes, about 1 inch wide

2. Place glue on one end of the fabric

3. Place the fabric on the ball and start wrapping the fabric around.

This is what you finished ball will look like.

Here is another Idea you could use.

Helpful Hints.

I first bought my styrofoam from porters in Rexburg and ended up paying allot for them. so i checked out Walmart and found that they had some for a cheaper there. So if you want to make these and are looking to not spend a whole lot of money, i would recommend buying your balls at Walmart.
